Agati (Vegetable Hummingbird) also known as Hadga in Marathi is a quick growing tree belonging to the pea family.
-It is native to Southeast Asia and parts of Australia. It is an evergreen, nitrogen-fixing tree.
-The flower color ranges from white to pink. The flowers and leaves are commonly eaten. It is a larval host plant for Common and Mottled Emigrant and Common Grass Yellow butterflies.
-This tree is a good source of fodder. It is also highly medicinal and can be used as an antibiotic, anti-helminthic, and against malaria amongst many other uses.
